1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 Tablespoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

Bring all, but the vanilla, to a boil in a 3 quart pan, stirring constantly. Boil 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
