Egg Nog

      Well, the season for egg nog is here. Grew up with this recipe handed down by my gramma…..

      (variable measures to allow for ‘tweaking’ to match your tastes; just add the minimum amt and increase to find your ‘yummy zone’)

      Fill blender halfway with vanilla ice cream.
      Pour in milk to 3/4 full mark
      Add 2-3 whole eggs
      Add 1/2 – 2/3 c sugar
      Add 2-3 T nutmeg
      Add 1 t cinnamon
      Add 2-3 T good vanilla (poor quality vanilla is fastest way to ruin the recipe)

      Blend away! Keep refrigerated until served

      Pasteurized egg mix or whole egg substitute can be used for those not so keen on raw eggs.

      If desired, you can add alcohol just before serving (make sure to mix well); some of those in my family add whiskey, some add rum; i don’t add either – love it the way it is.
